Training Methods
I'm a firm believer that an individual training program should be exactly that. We all have different bodies, fitness levels and goals, and so while I'll always try to stretch you that little bit further, my philosophy is to work with you to design and stick to an exercise plan (and diet if required) that will help you reach your objectives in a safe and effective way, always with correct form and breathing - essential for getting the most out of your workout.
I practise many kinds of exercise, so whether you prefer yoga and pilates, or just love to go for the burn in the gym, I can help you find a combination that works for you - any truly effective program should include elements of cardio, resistance and stretching, and of course sensible nutrition. These are my main areas of speciality:
Aerobic exercise - including exercise to music which I also teach separately
Weight training - not just for men: resistance training is vital for women's tone
Yoga - the Ashtanga, Hatha and Iyengar styles in particular
Pilates - focusing on developing core strength
Plyometrics - used to increase the speed and force of muscular contractions
Calisthenics - strength training without weights, based on gymnastics
